Join us this July for our very first IDC Summer Dance Intensive! 

At the beautiful Tanzfabrik Berlin Studios, we will have some of the best teachers in Berlin hosting masterclasses for you to learn from. This takes place July 13th and 14th, 2024 and will finish with a showcase performance, for parents, friends, teachers and family members to come watch what we worked on together. Dancers ages 8 and up are welcome!

Come learn from the "Profis" in Classical Ballet, Variations/ Repertoire, Lyrical, Jazz and Commercial Dance, Contemporary, Hip Hop/ Funk. See the schedule and bios below for more infos. We can't wait to see you there!

General Information

-IDC Summer Dance Intensive will take place over two days- July 13th and 14th, 2024 from 11am- 6pm.


-Each day students will have masterclasses in Classical Ballet, Classical Variations and Ballet Repertoire,  Lyrical, Jazz, Commercial Dance and Hip Hop/ Funk.

-Our dance intensive is for all dance students ages 8 and up. Classes will be divided into two groups; Beginners for ages 8- 12 and Intermediate for ages 13 and older. The beginner age group (8-12) will have a classical ballet class, repertoire class and contemporary class each day. The Intermediate group (14+) will have a classical ballet class, Variations class, Commercial/ Jazz, and a Contemporary/ Funk class each day.

- Sunday at the end of the intensive, we will present a showcase performance of what the dancers have learned over the weekend. All who wish to watch are welcome to come!

-Masterclasses and showcase will be held at Tanzfabrik Berlin-Möckernstraße 68, 10965 Berlin. See Contact and Locations for more info.

-All participants have the option to take part in the full intensive including the final showcase, OR individual masterclasses of their choice.

Please note- students partaking in individual classes will not be able to participate in the showcase. 

-Cost for full intensive plus Showcase for the Intermediate Intensive (ages 14+) is 150 Euro

-Cost for full intensive plus Showcase for the Beginner Intensive (ages 8-12) is 115 Euro

-Cost for individual classes are 25 Euro

-Students participating in the Ballet and Variations/ Repertoire Intermediate class should have a minimum of 3 years dance experience. Pointe shoes will be allowed for dancers with pointe experience but not mandatory. Variations can be done in soft shoes or Pointe shoes. Teachers will accommodate their classes to the general level of the students.

-Dancers should bring their own food for the lunch break, food will not be provided. There is a waiting area/ lounge for them to eat, however supervision will not be provided. Parents and supervisors will be allowed inside.

-Doors will open at 10:45, changing rooms/ bathrooms are available.

-Classes will be taught in English and German

- Adults are welcome to participate in the individual masterclasses, however should have sufficient experience in dance and know all the terminology.

Teachers and Classes


Tyler is a professional dancer with the Staatsballett Berlin and previously with Ballett Zurich and American Ballet Theatre. He received his ballet training from the School of American Ballet. Tyler is a certified teacher with the American Ballet Theatre's National Training Curriculum™. His class is focused on musicality, dynamic of movement with understanding of the fundamentals of ballet technique. Tyler is the founder and organiser of IDC.

Lizi Avsajanishvili - Professional Ballerina was born in Tbilisi, Georgia.

She received her education from the world renowned Vaganova Ballet Academy in Saint Petersburg, Russia and graduated from it with a gold medal and a red diploma. After graduation, Lizi became a company member of Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg. Since 2022 , she's been a member of Staatsballett Berlin.

Lizi has been working with and coached by major ballet stars such as : Nina Ananiashvili, Nikolay Tsiskaridze, Ludmila Kovaleva, Nadja Saidakova, Vladimir Malakhov, Christian Spuck, Diana Vishneva, Alexander Ekman, Patrice Bart, William Forsythe, Raffaella Renzi, and many more.

Liam Scullion
Contemporary/ Jazz

Liam Michael Scullion is an English born professional dancer and choreographer with over 12 years of experience in the industry behind him. After launching his career at the renowned Friedrichstadt-Palast, Liam has danced behind some of the biggest names in German Music, has worked for Film, Television and Musical Theater and has choreographed for some of the biggest stages in the world. He is currently a dancer for the Komische Oper in Berlin whilst also studying for his Bachelor Degree in Creative Industries Management.

Lucia Pölzer
Commercial/ Funk/ HIp Hop

Lucia Pölzer began dancing in the children's ballet of the Deutsche Oper Berlin at the age of 6 and then completed her stage dance training with Manuel Joel Mandon. Today she works as a commercial dancer and is an integral part of 'TheCompany' by Jouana Samia, appearing on stage with artists such as Badmómzjay and Cro, among others.

Lucia's classes have the clear goal of supporting each student individually and giving them as much knowledge and motivation as possible.
