SUMMER INTENSIVE
Train With Today's Top Professionals...
The IDC Summer Dance Intensive is a perfect way to continue dancing during the summer months. Offering workshops across multiple dance styles, participants will work closely with experienced professional dancers in a fun and collaborative environment.
Participants will learn iconic variations and repertoire from professional dancers of Staatsballett Berlin, Friedrichstadt-Palast, Bayerisches Staatsballett,TheCompany Berlin, Het Nationale Ballet and others, who have performed these pieces themselves, offering unique insights into technique and artistry.
Dancers ages 7+ are welcome

Open for all levels- from hobby dancers to professional students

YOUR SUMMER EXPERIENCE
Participants can choose to attend Part 1, Part 2, or both.
It’s a great way to keep up your training during the summer months connect with other dancers from across Germany and Europe.

Throughout both parts of the intensive, participants will be mentored by professional dancers who will guide them in mastering new movements, improving technique, and building confidence. This is a rare opportunity for young dancers to receive personal coaching and encouragement from seasoned professionals who are passionate about helping the next generation of dancers.

General Information
​Dancers will take classes in Ballet, Variations, Repertoire, Commercial, Modern, Lyrical Dance.​​​​
​
Classes will be divided into three groups:
​
Violet
ages 7 -11
- 1-3 years dance training
- learning the basics of technique
- comfortable in open classes
- still developing coordination + strength
- ablilty to participate in 3 classes daily
​
Indigo
ages 10 - 15
- 3–6+ years of training
- multiple styles or strong focus in one
- able to learn full combinations and choreography
- attends regular weekly classes
- ablity to participate in 4 classes daily
​
Aqua
ages 14+
- 6 –10+ years of training
- able to follow fast combinations
- possible interest in professional or pre-professional training
- comfortable with fast pace and corrections
- ability to participate in 4 classes daily
​
Pointe shoes may only be worn ages 12+ without prior confirmation from IDC Staff.
The first day is an adjustment days. Dancers may be invited to switch groups if it helps their experience.
If you would like to participate in a group outside your age restrictions, you must confirm this with IDC staff after the first class.

If you are unsure which group to register, please send us a video of your dancing material in the registration form, we will help to place you.

Housing
IDC Berlin can arrange housing for participants. Double Rooms, Tripple Rooms and Quadruple Rooms available near our locations for 25 Euro - 50 Euro per person per night.
Housing is not supervised! 16-18 year olds need a permission slip from parents. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
