MUNICH WINTER INTENSIVE
Welcome to the IDC Munich Weekend Intensive. This two-day program offers dancers the opportunity to train with internationally experienced teachers in ballet and contemporary dance.
Classes are designed to challenge and support dancers of different ages and levels in a positive learning environment. We look forward to welcoming you to Munich this December.
Dancers ages 7-25 are welcome​
YOUR WEEKEND EXPERIENCE
The IDC Munich Weekend Intensive is a two-day training program for dedicated dancers aged 7–25 who want to improve their technique, artistry, and confidence.
The weekend includes ballet and contemporary classes taught by internationally experienced faculty in a focused, supportive environment.
Dancers receive individual corrections, build strong technical foundations, and develop practical skills they can apply in their regular training.
Classes are grouped by age and level to ensure every dancer is challenged appropriately.

Participants will learn iconic variations and repertoire from professional dancers of Staatsballett Berlin, Bayerisches Staatsballett, and others, who have performed these pieces themselves, offering unique insights into technique and artistry.
On Sunday, family and friends are invited to a short showcase where participants present what they have worked on throughout the weekend.
The intensive is ideal for dancers looking for high-quality training, whether they are preparing for competitions, auditions, or simply want to continue developing their skills.

GENERAL INFORMATION
​Dancers will take classes in Ballet, Variations, Repertoire, Commercial, Modern, Lyrical Dance.​​​​
​
Classes will be divided into three groups:
​
Violet Group
ages 7 -11
- 1-3 years ballet training
- learning the basics of technique
- comfortable in open classes
- still developing coordination + strength
- ability to participate in 3 classes daily
​
Indigo Group
ages 10 - 15
- 3–6+ years of ballet training
- multiple styles or strong focus in one
- able to learn full combinations and choreography
- attends regular weekly classes
- ability to participate in 4 classes daily
​
Aqua Groups
ages 14+
- 6 –10+ years of ballet training
- able to follow fast combinations
- possible interest in professional or pre-professional training
- comfortable with fast pace and corrections
- ability to participate in 4 classes daily

Pointe shoes may only be worn ages 12+ without prior confirmation from IDC Staff.

If you would like to participate in a group outside your age restrictions, you must confirm this with IDC staff before registering.
​
If you are unsure which group to register, please send us a video of your dancing material in the registration form, we will help to place you. ​
HOUSING
IDC Berlin does not provide any housing or food. Dancers are responsible for their own accomodation and meals.

Munich Winter Intensive will take place at the beautiful studios of the Bayerisches Junior Ballet München​
